Seven! Count 'Em Seven! CubeSats Delivered to Orbit
The April 28, 2008 launch of 10 satellites aboard the Indian Space Research Organization's (ISRO) Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle-9 (PSLV-9) rocket included 7 amateur radio cubesat, and 3 commercial/scientific satellites. Watch for late breaking operational messages via the amsat-bb and detailed information on each of the satellite's respective web pages.
The U.S. Air Force successfully launched a United Launch Alliance Delta II booster carrying the fifth modernized NAVSTAR Global Positioning System (GPS) satellite into space today. The NAVSTAR GPS was launched at 3:04 p.m. (EST) from Space Launch Complex 17A here.
The satellite will join the constellation of on-orbit satellites providing global coverage and increased performance of the GPS services to users worldwide. The modernized series delivers increased signal power to receivers on the ground, two new military signals for improved accuracy, enhanced encryption and anti-jamming capabilities for the military, and a second civil signal to provide users with an open access signal on a different frequency.
Welcome to the new TLE.INFO web site. A member of the Aus-City family web sites. As part of our TLE and STS Orbital subscription via email we are presently using the services of the USAF Space-Track.Org, which gave Aus-City permission to continue to provide the TLE's. Ken Ernandes and David Cottle also support all NASA Space Shuttle missions by generating Orbital Data from the latest Real State Vectors that we receive from several sources, including our primary source the DOD C-Band Radar Network at Cape Canaveral.
